Gavel Chicago lists 122 Chicago-area law firms, free. Claiming your listing is free and always will be. Featured is an optional, labeled paid placement. Neither one buys a recommendation, a rating, or a referral, because we don't give those.

Straight talk
What Featured is, and isn't
- What it is: a place in the Sponsored block at the top of your practice area and neighborhood pages, with the word “Sponsored” on it, plus a photo and booking link on your listing.
- How many: at most 3 Sponsored listings per page. If more firms buy the same page, they rotate daily in a published order (see how we list firms).
- What it is not: it is not a guarantee of calls or clients. We don't send you anyone; people choose firms themselves. The fee is flat and never depends on cases, outcomes or your fees.
- Your obligations: Featured listings name the attorney responsible for the listing and the office address, per Illinois Rule 7.2(a). Read our intermediary connecting service certification.
