About Gavel Chicago

Gavel Chicago is an online directory of 122 law firms in Chicago and nearby suburbs, organized by practice area and neighborhood. Operated by Harvest Season.

Gavel Chicago is not a law firm and not a lawyer referral service. It does not give legal advice and does not refer, recommend or endorse any lawyer.

How it works

You browse firms and choose whom to contact: call them, visit their website, or send a message through the listing, which goes to that firm only. Listing details come from each firm's own website or from the firm, with the source and the date shown on every listing. To check a lawyer's registration, use the ARDC's public search: Check any Illinois lawyer's registration at the ARDC (opens in a new tab).

How it is paid for

Firms can buy a flat-fee Featured placement, always labeled “Sponsored”. That is the only way Gavel Chicago earns money from the directory. Firms never pay us a share of any legal fee. See how we list firms and our certification for lawyers.
